J.J. KELLEY
B.A.S. in Outdoor Education, Kelley is working for the society that inspired him during his youth. At National Geographic Television he is learning how to produce industry leading educational programming.
As a young man Kelley began to embrace wild places, when he was 19 he loaded a modest amount of personal items into his small pick-up to journey north. His venturing brought him to the small fishing community of Seward, Alaska. Since his first summer living in an Alaskan tent community where he apprenticed as a sea kayak instructor, his passion has been to live and capture stories of adventure.
HOW THEY MET
Thomas and Kelley met on adventures each their own. In July 2003, both young men began the 2,169-mile Appalachian Trail. Departing in northern Maine for what each would later say was the biggest undertaking of their early lives.
Coincidentally it took the two adventurers 351 miles before they would first cross paths and another 85 miles before they exchanged hellos. After meeting Kelley and Thomas discovered they both hiked at a similar pace, so they decided to start hiking together.
The first few miles of mountain trail and conversation flourished from that day forward. Three-months of trekking later and 1,721 miles south from the spot they met, Kelley and Thomas summated Springer mountain in Georgia completing the final footsteps on their 2003 AT Thru-Hike.
Along their first adventure the two agreed that they would have an adventure each summer that good fortune allowed.
JOSH THOMAS
Having recently completed work as a location fixer for Discovery's “Survivor Man,” Thomas followed a job to the bottom of the world. Working at the South Pole Station, Josh spent his day in some of the most environmentally harsh climate on the earth.
Thomas is extremely active. Enjoying his winters in Alaska he spends much of his time capturing snow-crested peeks and venturing deep into the marine wilds by sea kayak. Josh is a wonderfully brilliant young adventurer, having self-taught the majority of his knowledge through the education of books.
“The world will always crave stories of adventure.”

“I found some fleece pants, and I am actually in the market.”
